From the Gjusta/Gjellina restaurant family - Travis Lett's take on Japanese Gastropub food.

Great Japanese restaurant for 1 or 2 people. Given the size and food it's not very good for groups. If there's a wait go across the street to Rooster Fish for a drink or two before dinner.

Take a quick trip to Abbot Kinney in Venice for Japanese dishes with LA’s farm to table signature. *The veggie ramen is one of the most hearty, delicious, and interesting dishes in LA. To quote the late Jonathan Gold “…the coziness can be almost magical.” Eating at MTN is a sensory experience. From the expertly selected vinyl spinning beneath the gorgeously curated ceramics to the hand-crafted, locally driven dishes and cocktails - everything is innovative and crafted with depth. Sipping the Kabocha + Shiitake Ramen (after it has simmered for 4-hours), calmly warms the body while sitting in the gently cool, fog of the indoor/outdoor, mountain-top inspired restaurant. MTN is delicious, artistic, and the staff is top-notch!

This is a great spot. The chef from Gjelina's new restaurant. Try the roasted sweet potatoes. Amazing. Must have a reservation.

$$$ Travis Lett (Gjelina/Gjusta) brings his hip California approach to Japanese gastropub fare. It's a scene, but worth the wait.
