There's a great documentary about the owner Kenny called "I Like Killing Flies". He's a NYC legend and the hype is real. It's a must while you're here. Located in the Essex Street Market, there's plenty to explore.

Cool little restaurant inside the Essex Street Market. Great food, but weird hours (check before you go).

I'd also recommend a stack of pancakes or the breakfast nachos, which can be dialed up to a heat level so intense you'll want to rip your tongue out.

An experience. The menu has over 1,000 items, including over a 100 soaps. Seriously. No tourists here. Real NYC secret.
