“The open-air food festival Food on Rolls will be coming to Purmerend for the first time. The Leeghwater Park is then transformed into an open-air restaurant for young and old and everything in between. At Eating on Rolls, discover your new tastes at one of the most beautiful kitchens on rolls. And drink the most delicious wines and special beers at one of the barrels. There are also cocktails and gin tonicsThere is an offer for every gourmet. Big and small. Sprinkle with the whole family on a picnic dress and share snacks. Make new friends to one of the big wooden tables. Walk with your children next to the puppet theater, the schminkhoek or slide at the junction box. www.purmerendleeft.nl”

“The North Sea Jazz Club is a thriving outlet for the city's vibrant jazz scene where you can enjoy jazz, funk, soul and world music by top-of-the-bill acts, established names and up-and-coming talent in an intimate jazz club setting. Thursday evenings are reserved for free jam sessions at the neighbouring trattoria Pizza Pazzani. On Fridays, the weekend is kick-started at the club’s Friday Night Out with drinks, dinner and live music. And on Saturdays, it’s time for Late Night Live: a free-of-charge late-night programme beginning at 23:30 and presenting the grooviest talents in town. Sundays regularly feature lunch and dinner concerts.”

“Royal Palace (Koninklijk Paleis) With its classical sandstone façade looming over Amsterdam’s central Dam Square, the 17th-century Royal Palace (Koninklijk Paleis) has been a firm favorite on tourist itineraries since becoming state property back in 1936. Designed by Jacob van Campen, the impressive Romanesque construction is fashioned around over 13,500 woolen piles sunk into the ground and is best known for its iconic rooftop statue of Greek titan Atlas, straining beneath the weight of the world on his back. First built as a city hall, the building was transformed into a Royal Palace back in 1808, under reign of Louis I, King of Holland and is still used frequently for state visits.”
