One of the most stunning hikes anyone can do in the Rockies. About a 1 hour drive from our cabin, Lake O'Hara is a jaw dropping place with sparkling blue lakes and breathtaking vistas. Allow a full day to complete the Alpine Circuit hike as it is a 11.1km loop with very steep terrain in parts and loose scree in some areas . Unless you want to add the extra 11km fire road walk up to the lake and camp there, a bus shuttle reservation is required through Park Canada's website. It took us 4 years of trying to finally get a seat on these extremely difficult tickets to obtain. ** UPDATE**: As of 2023, tickets for the shuttle are only obtainable via a lottery system via Park Canada's website. You can hike up the extra 11km fireroad to the lake or get a camp permit if you choose to overnight there. This is by far our favourite hike in the Canadian Rockies, and there are many!!

We have access to the world renowned area via commercial seats. Booking is done 24 hours before the day you would like to hike and is Not guaranteed until shuttle seats are confirmed. We offer our guests a 15% discount off our regular rate of $175 CDN per person.
