Tokoname is famous for its ceramic production. One famous company that originated here is Inax, which produce toilets, among other bathroom and home products. The company is now known as Lixil, but the Inax brand still lives on. The Inax Live Museum is an interesting place to see the history of Tokoname, and has a variety of exhibits based around ceramics and tiles. In addition, their Italian restaurant has a great reputation around town for its pizzas.
