Today Springfontein has what, in Burgundy, is reverently called a “monopoly”: an exclusive appellation named “Springfontein Rim”. Today, Springfontein produces wines that can stand up to national and international comparison, but which have their own unique typicity that uniquely reflects their particular place of origin. Key members of the Springfontein family are also shareholders in the company in which our farm and our activities are integrated. Under the name of UBUNTU Panafrodynamics, these members have a stake in Springfontein’s capital and thus in its assets, and such a stake is in principle open to anyone once he has proven himself or turned out as a Springfonteiner.

Award winning wine and award winning restaurant just outside of Stanford.

Great for wine tasting. They also have a lovely restaurant called Eats, but need to book before going. It is run by a German family that moved to South Africa. The food is outstanding.
