I had always been told it was a local favorite so one night for my son’s last day of school I took him to Beefmasters. We were a little overdressed but it didn’t matter because we felt good looking good anyway.😉The cook/owner came right up to our table and slapped a big old hunk of meat in front of us and said something to the effect of, “how big you want it?” I said, “right about there is fine.” He went back to cook up our steaks and we got up and loaded a plate full of salad fixings’ from the small salad bar. The waiter was a super friendly young man who delivered our baked potato and ribeye. It was indeed a terrific cut of beef, moist, tender and cooked medium rare just like I had requested. No frills, just good eats! I think I also heard from somewhere that you can take your pickup truck and do a little tailgating right out front and they will come and take your order and bring it out to you when it’s ready. Don’t quote me on that but it sounds fun!

Nice evening meal, you will have a long wait but well worth it for the local ribeye, salad and backed potato. There is no menu and it is a little expensive.

Hole-in-the-wall steak house in rural NC. Bring a six pack and tailgate in the parking lot like a local. The menu is small and pricey but worth it. Best steak I have ever had.
