Walterstone, HR2 0DX (Always open... only place for Sunday and Monday evening food). Landlady Vera was born in the pub in the 1930’s and the pub and the wallpaper have been in her family for generations. Traditional pub food but this family can really cook! £12-15 for mains plus steaks. Only accept cash or cards. 20 minutes drive.

This is our lovely village pub only a couple of minutes walk from The Mews House. It is great for drinks and serves delicious homemade meals. Please note it is closed Monday all day and Tuesday mornings. For meals it is best to book as it can be quite busy at times, to book phone 1600 860812.

The Carpenters Arms is definitely worth a visit! A proper traditional country pub with a hatch bar and roaring fires. It is so traditional that there's not much online about the Carpenters' so you'll have to trust us! Situated on the eastern ridge of the Black Mountains, the Carpenters Arms has been run by the same family for generations. The 300 year-old pub remains as it was over a century ago. The cosy bar is well-stocked with a selection of real ales and local ciders. The pub also serves a wide variety of delicious home-cooked food and a fab Sunday lunch.
