Beautiful easy 2.5 mile loop to Inspiration point. Dog friendly and kid friendly with horses on trail and stables. Some Sundays host polo matches. Beautiful views of ocean, Santa Monica mountains. Views to downtown & LaX. Gorgeous homes. Nice break from LA city scene.
In what is now the town of Pacific Palisades, Rogers built his ranch, where he lived with his wife Betty and their three children, Will Jr., Mary and James. The 31-room ranch house, which includes 11 baths and seven fireplaces, is surrounded by a stable, corrals, riding ring, roping arena, golf…
A beautiful hike that is near the beach. You can also check out the equestrian center. Not too hard for kids but you will get some exercise. Take water and snacks because there isn't much close by.
Historic home of Will Rogers with docent led tours. Multiple hiking trails that inter-connect through the Santa Monica Mountains. Seasonal Polo games. Boarding stables.
Easy hiking trails with 360 degree views at the top. There is a polo field and a historic ranch house.

“An exquisite example of an ancient Roman villa, the building and the grounds are gorgeous with views out over the Pacific Ocean. It is filled with numerous ancient Greek and Roman pieces, as well as artwork from other eras. Seeing a Roman villa with the full-color frescos and stonework is a treat. Get a free timed ticket in advance on their website. Parking is paid.”
