This uptown boutique is a great place to go for bridal wear, fancy lingerie, cocktail attire and custom-made hats. The store has been around for decades and is a New Orleans institution. It's worth going just to experience the characters there. And it's near the famous Camellia Grill so you could kill two birds with one stone.

This is a truly odd women's clothing store, in that at first, you may want to bolt. It's strongly perfumed, and packed to the brim. However, if you're searching for an incredible flapper dress, a full-length cashmere robe, an evening gown that can be described as nothing less than an art piece, or a hat fit for the Kentucky Derby (literally, they ship them), stop in here. Just beware that it is pricey, but at the same time, matchless. And Ms. Yvonne is a fascinating little relic of old New Orleans to chat with. Plus, it's a short walk from home!
