We love the hiking trail beside the creek up to the waterfall. Gorgeous views, cool air wafting up from the creek in the summer, and a fairly easy hike make it a wonderful adventure. The lake offers boat rentals, and the stock ponds are fun for kids to see fish.

Moccasin Creek State Park is a 32-acre state park located on the western shore of Lake Burton in Rabun County in the northeast corner of Georgia. The park features campgrounds; a fishing pier for the physically disabled, the elderly, and children; and walking trails. Even though the surrounding area is mountainous, the camping area is relatively flat.

On Lake Burton. At 2,800-acres, Lake Burton is a prime spot for skiing, boating and fishing. Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and canoes can be rented during warmer months. Park visitors can tour an adjacent trout rearing station, hike on several nearby trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains or simply relax in this peaceful setting.
