A little shabby but great food! If you can eat outside it'll be less crowded and Hwy 385 is beautiful to drive! *Note, many restaurants close in the late fall and winter in the smaller towns. Check to see if open before arriving.
A hole-in-the-wall diner in the middle of nowhere that makes mouthwatering All-American food. Excellent Burgers.
Best hamburgers around and out in the Hills located on Hwy 385 between Hill City and Deadwood!

“Calamity Jane and Wild Bill are buried here! Included on some of the bus tours, you can also hoof it up to the cemetery on your own. Neat old tombstones, and great views! There is an admission price.”

“Legends is in the basement of the historic Franklin Hotel. It is delicious food but they do not take reservations so call ahead first and find out how long the wait is.”

“Black Elk Peak is the highest point on Earth between the Swiss Alps and the Rocky Mountains - for you East Coasters, that means this rises higher than the Appalachians! A moderate hike, there is a 3 mile trail which leads from the beaches of Sylvan lake to an old Fire Lookout Tower atop the peak, from which you can see Mt. Rushmore and a stunning view of the rest of the Hills. ”
