This huge mural pays homage to the acclaimed artist Joan Miró. It was made in 2004 by Barcelona-based graffiti artist Sixe Paredes, who’s famous in the post-graffiti scene, and it was the first mural made for the project Ciutat Vella, by Arcadi Poch. The mural is in a street parallel to the Rambla del Raval, which is full of great places to eat. My favorites are the delicious sandwiches of Madame Jazmine and the Turkish kebabs of Kilim.

“Not so famous, for me maybe the best museum in Barcelona. The location is one of the most beautiful in the city, great walk, the permanent collection reminds you why Spain is such a fascinating place.”

“Located in an old modernist factory designed by Puig i Cadafalch, CaixaForum has become one of the most dynamic, active and lively cultural centers of the city of Barcelona. The visit to the building, jewel of the industrial heritage of Barcelona, exhibitions dedicated to artists such as Dalí, Rodin, Freud, Turner, Fragonard, Hogarth or Cartier-Bresson, etc ...”

“Surely "the" museum to visit in Barcelona. For the artist and for the building. Imagine Montcada Street, in the Gothic quarter, five mansions united to form a museum, lovely to visit. About Pablo Ruiz Picasso the museum is essential to understand his formative years. The genius of the young artist is revealed to us through more than 3,500 works that make up this permanent collection.”

“The Poble Espanyol (literally, Spanish town) is an open-air architectural museum in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, approximately 400 metres away from the Fountains of Montjuïc. Built for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition, the museum consists of 117 full-scale buildings, which recreate Spanish villages. It also contains a theater, restaurants, artisan workshops and a museum of contemporary art. ”
