A large grocery store in the biggest shopping mall in Akureyri.

Located within the Mall, Nettó offers a good selection of fruit and veg (well, good for Iceland) that is rarely rotten (a problem that affects most of the other stores). A little more expensive than Bonus or Hagkaup, Nettó has a good range of meats and stocks a reasonable array of health/organic products for anyone with a food allergy. Open from 10am to 7pm, Nettó is one of the better supermarkets.

Discount grocery store within walking distance. Located at the town mall.

The grocery store I like the most in Akureyri, it has such a great variety og health foods and vegan options (compared to other stores in Iceland..:) It's located in the mall, a 5 minutes walk.
