Queen Mother's home, lovely gardens and castle. You may not even want to look around, there is a nice coffee shop, and shop that is free. There is also a wee farm for kids to visit.
The Castle of Mey, a big crowd-puller for its Queen Mother connections, is 6 miles west of John O’Groats. The exterior is grand but inside it feels domestic and everything is imbued with the Queen Mum's character.
The Castle of Mey is a lovely place to visit with the castle, gardens, animal centre and visitor centre so there is plenty to do for all the family

“this is a great trip, taking you into caves, through arches and stacks all along our stunning cliff coastline. You'll see puffins, seals and perhaps even a whale or two. It has great accessibility too, there is a host for those that have limited mobility”
