Geylang Serai Market is one of the biggest and busiest wet markets in Singapore. A market in a traditional Malay kampong house. This is the best food court to enjoy Malay dishes such as asam pedas stingray (spicy stingray), beef rendang (spicy beef), ikan terubok (fried fish) and goreng pisang (banana fritters).

Geylang Serai market packs in a lively wet market, hawker food centre and stalls selling everything from Malay CDs to skullcaps. Try your bargaining skills with the stall owners, and who knows, you might seal a bargain deal. Local food snacks are offered here, like banana fritters (pisang goreng) and bandung (milk with rose cordial syrup).
