The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District is in charge of the operation of the Ross Barnett reservoir. There are many boat landings and parks, points of interest etc. at the Ross Barnett reservoir. The Pearl River Water Rowl refuge is located a mile north of the Airstream on Highway 43. There are numerous fishing piers in the area around the Airstream. There's also the Turcotte shooting facility and the Natches Trace, a federal scenic highway that runs along about 8 miles of the north western edge of the Ross Barnett reservoir.
