So it's a blend of food trucks and mall...many many different options to eat (only food) packed away under one roof. You know you are near if you are standing right under the large Bancolombia building! It's got some of best food in the city!

Great Peruvian food, but ACTUALLY I came here for the hot wine served in a sugar rimmed glass. Delicious!

Medellin's renowned coffee shop, known to be full of digital nomads, laptops out and working (or not so much)?

A super secret spot, there is only one way to get in, but it's hard to find. Seek out a taco truck local, to the right you will see a few doors, ring the bell and let yourself in. The biggest "secret spot" I've yet to find in Medellin. Coolest thing is that it is in plain view.

Because who doesn't want to eat or have a VERY INTERESTING cocktail outside? The lights and the music really do create a cool vibe at this spot in the evenings.

Drinks & Nightlife

Great for live salsa, sometimes a cover fee but usually worth it!

Honestly, I was in and out of this place as I arrived too lated, but it was PACKED. There are two locations and it is some serious fun, word around town. Let me know what you think if you try it out!

A great place to go on a date, or with a group of friends (which is still considered a date in Colombia)! The sangria is the best! It comes with popsicles! I've never seen anything like it, from what I remember 1 pitcher will run you 50mil

Sightseeing

A small touristy "quintessential Colombian town square" but totally worth it! Also a museum and fabulous views, a couple restaurants and tourist gifts available at the top. Great hike up or down up the many stairs! Or you can take a taxi up if you are not in the mood for the stairs!

Arts & Culture

It also has a lineup of movies some nights so check out their website for the schedule! There are also a couple noteworthy cafes and bars/restaurants right near the museum to check out!

Essentials

Closest place to buy groceries! A 5 minute walk up the hill, so downhill with your bags is no problem, although I still usually bring a backpack so I'm not trying to walk with a lot of grocery bags. Just more convenient that way!

Parks & Nature

First of all, because yes, we all want to take a ride up the hill in the cable cards, but second because there are hiking trails, lunch out underneath the canopy of trees and a small market to enjoy. A definite must see. Make sure to wear layers as it is MUCH MUCH colder up there than down in the city. Long pants and a sweatshirt and closed toed shoes and a light scarf and a light jacket. Be prepared with cash to pay for your cable car tickets!

Getting Around

Closest metro stop, about a 20 minute downhill walk from the house, or as long as 30 minutes if you are stopping to smell the flowers (which I recommend you do!) I suggest buying a card with 20,000 which will last you about 10 trips vs. having to get in line each time, so at the window, ask for a card, and that you would like to put 20mil on it! It will save you a lot of time!
