This reserve is a five minute walk from our place and offers a walking , jogging path along both sides of the creek. A stop half way offers exercise equipment. It can be used for a quiet stroll in peaceful surroundings or as a fitness track.

Located a 30 minute drive from Pakenham, the park is mostly known for its kiln used during the Second World War to make charcoal for gas producer units fitted to motor cars. The park contains a range of forest types and is popular for picnicking, camping, walking and horse riding.

It also caters for events of all kinds, including casual lunches, business functions, exhibitions and weddings. It is set on the banks of Lakeside lake and has a cafe which is a lovely place for lunch or just a cup of coffee. the walking track around the lake is popular and has an abundance of wildlife.

Our Collection 2000 items, many photographs. Good collection of local area. Local history books produced "In the Wake of the Pack Tracks", "North of the Line" "Early Days of Berwick", "Oak trees and hedges" and "Berwick Nostalgia". Collection of canes (approx 200). Railway memorabilia now on loan to Puffing Billy.
