This place is exceptional. The owners are French and the tarts (savoury and sweet) are made to the highest standard and the family who run it are beautiful people. Delicious breads. Don't go too late on a weekend morning or you'll miss the chocolate croissants. Try the date tart!

Fantastic breakfasts and lunches. Something for everyone. Lovely indoor area with fire in winter and pleasant, leafy outdoor area in summer. Good vegetarian options and great coffee. Gets busy but always a pleasant atmosphere. Closes at 3pm usually.

This is a small coffee shop which you can drive past on your way to/back from town. They do - in my view - the best coffee in Bathurst! N.B. They don't offer much in the way of food, it's more a takeaway affair

This sweet cafe is slightly out of town. It peaceful and has a lovely outdoor area. Ask for directions to 'flat rock' from here if you fancy a peaceful and scenic dip in the local river..

Even if you are not into racing, it's nice to take a drive around it. Nearly always open. There's a nice place to stop at the top to stop, get out of your car and look over Bathurst (as well as a lot of kangaroos!) There is an enclosed kids park also on the Mount/Wahluu

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit
Mountain StraightEven if you are not into racing, it's nice to take a drive around it. Nearly always open. There's a nice place to stop at the top to stop, get out of your car and look over Bathurst (as well as a lot of kangaroos!) There is an enclosed kids park also on the Mount/Wahluu

It has a maze, different sized slides, plenty of swings and flying foxes and things to climb. There is a separate place for scooters as well as places to picnic and BBQ. Toilets etc. also. Some parts are shaded and there are plenty of trees.

This is a great spot for kids with energy to burn! There is a lot to play on and the park has a dinosaur theme. It has a maze, different sized slides, plenty of swings and flying foxes and things to climb. There is a separate place for scooters as well as places to picnic and BBQ. Toilets etc. also. Some parts are shaded and there are plenty of trees.
