Stateside in Capitol Hill isn’t within walking distance (a $10-15 Uber ride) but it is currently our favorite restaurant in Seattle and was just recently named the best restaurant in the city. It’s nice but not outrageously priced. Please, for the love of all that is holy, try the soy glazed short ribs.

Just up the street. Great for breakfast or unique cocktails. The Chicken and Waffles are amazing.

Un Bien in Ballard has the best Cuban and Caribbean food in the city and has a huge following. This one you’ll have to take a car to get to. The owners Lucas and Ornella are often there. If they are, tell them Nate and Amy sent you and they’ll make sure to treat you extra well.

Tsui Sushi Bar is less than 3/4 of a mile heading north on Latona. They have all day happy hour which includes $5 house wine and $6 house sake. You’re on vacation. Enjoy!
