Sightseeing

Preikestolen (the Pulpit Rock) is one of Rogaland county's most visited attractions, and one of the country's most spectacular photo subjects. Preikestolen has been named one of the world's most spectacular viewing points by both CNN Go and Lonely Planet. It rises 604 metres above the Lysefjord. The trip takes about 4 hours back and forth, and is about 6 km. Be sure to bring with you good walking shoes. It is possible to get there by boat, bus and car. Please ask if wanting any recommendations on how to get there.

Its northern side is a massive cliff, plunging 984 metres (3,228 ft) almost straight down into the Lysefjorden.Another tourist attraction, the Kjeragbolten, a 5-cubic-metre (180 cu ft) stone wedged between two rocks is located on the mountain. The Kjeragfossen waterfall plunges off the mountain down to the fjord. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in the world.

It's recommended to bring some money for snacks at 'Is Paradice'. They have tasty dishes, whether you want a burger or just a cake.
