Best vegetarian meal options in the area. Affordable, nutritious, and delicious. My favorite take-out meal is tofu fresh rolls with peanut sauce and sweet and sour soup with tofu. The chicken dishes are ok but do not recommend beef or seafood.

A little pricey but excellent spot to find high quality local and organic groceries, toiletries, etc. Also a great place to stop after a hike or a bike ride to get a healthy organic lunch and one of their delicious smoothies.

Drinks & Nightlife
Every thursday night this venue hosts Elements, Boston's longest running dance night. It's primarily drum & bass if you're really into that but every once in a while they have some international electronic dj and producer talent come through for which I will make the trip into the city for.

Just under an hours drive west on route 2 to a tiny hidden gem of a venue. Rustic old mill situated right on top of rushing river is cute and cozy venue to see live indy type music and other artsy events. It is also a book store and old books line all the hallways and walls and tiny secret rooms. There is also a restaurant serving healthy whole foods and freshly brewed beer and kombucha.

Frances and Jonathan Drake, well known abolitionists, built their unpretentious house in Leominster in 1848. As fairly open supporters of abolition, the couple could not simply use their home as a safe house along the Underground Railroad, without suspicion. Thus the couple, when constructing their home, built a secret trap door into the floor of the front parlor where they could hide escaped slaves as they made their way to the North and Canada.

On clear days the Boston and Worcester skylines are visible. Have a cook out at the top or meet to go on a scheduled guided hike. Great free exercise option. Skiing in winter.

With 17 distinct gardens on more than 130 acres, much of it preserved as woodland and open space, Tower Hill is dedicated to the cultivation and display of some of the most exquisite plants in the world. Hosts art exhibits, classes, and unique events.

Giant antique and collectible's shop tucked away in old cider mill building. To see everything takes about 4 hours. I especially love the little hidden rooms of vintage clothing. The building also houses several wellness practitioners for massage, homeopathy, reiki, and yoga.

Go to spot for groceries, fast food, mall shopping, movies, pet store, car care, nails and hair, you name it it's down there. Market Basket is pretty much always packed the only slow times are early in the morning when they first open around 7am.
