Best coffee ever. You will have to get there by 11am if you want a seat as it's ALWAYS full by 12pm. They have a great range of salads, blackboard meals, good for kids, meals, snacks, yada yada oh did I mention the garden bar out the back?

Absolutely yum Thai food, always busy or full, they do takeaways as well. You can walk there from here and your food is still warm when you get back!

Fine dining at its best. Consistently rated 5 stars, they don't need to advertise because the recommendations are all they need. It's not cheap, but if you can splash out for one night (and book ahead for it), this is my #1 pick for a fine dining experience around here. And the hot pools are across the road for afterwards!

THE iconic view is from the top, or walk around the base and see the cruise ships half a kilometre away, seals, penguins (don't go near them please). Neither track is suitable for wheelchairs, as both have either or both of stairs and steep sections.

World top ten beach, only three full blocks walk from my place and stunning. The Mount Maunganui end has lots of good cafes, this end has more of the restaurant and bar scene.
