5 min walk. Delicious for breakfast and lunch. They also have a few traditional Scottish things on the menu e.g. a bacon, egg and potato scone roll. Yumm. We always have the French toast. They have a little shop attached to the cafe where you can get treats to take home (e.g. nicely wrapped shortbread etc).

Its owned by the National Trust, so is free to get in if you're a member. £11.50 just to get in to the grounds if you're not. If you're interested in the history of the place you can do a guided tour. I like to just take a picnic and enjoy the surroundings outside.
