Food Scene

It's cheap and filled with locals. Сырники and драники are my favorites. Everything is written in Russian.

Definitely best place to try Pirogy. It's always fresh so in the end of the day there's no much choice left. Go there before 4pm. They have all typical Russian dishes. English menu available.

Obed Buffet is just in front of my place, on the 3rd floor of Stockmann store. There's a broad international choice going from pizza to sushi to authentic Russian food like Olivier salad, Herring salad, pirojki, kotlety (meat balls). It's a trendy cantine. So you can see the meal you choose. Their website (in Russian) http://spb.obedbufet.ru/nevsky_centre In Stockmann mall there's also an underground food store with Russian salads to take away.

Shopping

It's a small but good store to buy Russian shawls near my appartment. You could tell your price (I need something under 2000 rubles) and they'll show you what's available. Pieces in coton or coton with wool will cost you less than 100% wool or silk. Their website with prices: http://platki.ru/en/

Drinks & Nightlife

Xroniki bar is one that I'd recommend for a good beer and not expensive vodka. They also have a house-special cocktail “Free Ingria” you should try. All the info is here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/xroniki/about/?ref=page_internal
