Pack yourself a picnic lunch and leave home early to maximise your time at the park.
It is nice to stop at the Magnetic Termite Mounds for a look and some photos on the way, giving you the opportunity to stretch your legs and marvel at the natural beauty of the mounds.
There are three spots we’d recommend visiting during your day trip to Litchfield. You can swim at all three locations during the dry season months (May to October) unless it is otherwise signed. Try and allow at least 1.5-2hrs for each location.

Escape the sun and head to the Museum for a wander around. It is large enough to spend a good few hours looking at all the exhibitions on offer. The Cyclone Tracy exhibition is worth checking out to learn about a significant part of our history.
