Grand Avenue area in Downtown Escondido.
On Friday nights on Grand Avenue there is an event called “Cruising Grand” in downtown Escondido.
There are cool old cars lining the streets. There are some of our favorite little places to
eat here like EscoGelato, Mikko Sushi and Burger Bench. The street is lined with restaurants and shops.

Places to visit
The Safari Park is 20 minutes away from our house. It gets HOT in the summer here so if you plan on spending a day here, go as soon as they open. You can pack lunches and bring waters.
They have a lot of really amazing animals and they have a splash pad near the lions so bring suits/change of clothes for the kids. There are many playgrounds for the kids to play at. Overall an incredible place to visit with a lot of really cool animals! The views of the San Pasqual Valley are beautiful as you explore the large park. Wear comfortable walking shoes and pack lots of water.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park
15500 San Pasqual Valley RdThe Safari Park is 20 minutes away from our house. It gets HOT in the summer here so if you plan on spending a day here, go as soon as they open. You can pack lunches and bring waters.

Coronado Island is about 40 minutes from our home. It is an iconic place to visit. Coronado island is known for its white sand beaches and beautiful views of the San Diego skyline. There is lots to do on the island as far as leisure activities & good eats. Or bring your beach gear provided by us and post up at one of the beautiful beaches for the day.

Coronado Island is about 40 minutes from our home. It is an iconic place to visit. Coronado island is known for its white sand beaches and beautiful views of the San Diego skyline. There is lots to do on the island as far as leisure activities & good eats. Or bring your beach gear provided by us and post up at one of the beautiful beaches for the day.
Carlsbad is 25 minutes away and a really fun place to visit. The beaches are top notch, the atmosphere is chill and the shops/ restaurants are phenomenal. Handels ice cream is a must here! There is
a yummy breakfast place here called Shorehouse cafe. Their lavender latte is delicious!
Another FAVE spot in Carlsbad is Cafe Topes. If you’re looking for a yummy and fresh cinnamon roll, look no further! Food at Le Papagayo in Carlsbad is always good. Carlsbad is a great place to spend the day!
You can walk Carlsbad Village Drive and the surrounding streets to find many shops and boutiques, places for a refreshing drink and yummy restaurants!

We absolutely love spending our evenings at Orfila Winery. There is a back grass area that is super friendly for kids. You can order a glass of wine, or a bottle, and enjoy the amazing weather. It’s a great place to let the kids play a board game and picnic dinner or have an intimate date with gorgeous scenery.

Stone Brewery is just a couple of minutes from our home. This is a famous spot with an American menu, yummy drinks and an incredible outdoor space. The vibe here is truly over the top. We love taking friends and family here who are visiting from out of town. It's our Escondido bistro and garden!

Cocinca Del Charro has been a family favorite for many generations in our family. It is nearby and delicious! They also have a really yummy and affordable family pack that you can order to-go if you're wanting to eat in!

We crave Tj Tacos OFTEN. Their adobada tacos are the best we've ever had. I would recommend not getting anything BUT those. They're the BEST.
