A mouth-watering ever-changing menu of locally sourced food. They have the best bartender in the city, and their service is always incredible. They cure their own meats and sell them out of the side of the store. Their balgona is one of the best bites of food I’ve ever had (and I am vegetarian).

A newer, very urban brewery. They converted an old Firehall into a brewery and cafe. It is a trendy place and a nice spot to head with your computer and work for a few hours. Their food is pricey for the portion size but delicious.

If you want to see little Ireland and hear some really thick Newfoundland accents, this is a lovely day trip. In the Summer, a community named Saint Vincents has the most incredible humpback whale sightseeing opportunities you could ever access on land.

Located in the beautiful community of Quidi Vidi, walk around the area, check out the artisan studio, and then head to one of the most beautiful breweries in Canada. The view alone would be enough to sell this place, but the beers are also top-notch. They are one of the first breweries to open in Newfoundland. Ask them about Art Skeet if you want to hear a good story. There’s an east coast trail hike of about four hours that end at the brewery if you are inclined.

Everything in the shop is made by people from the province, many whom she knows personally.
