Mount Rubidoux Park
4706 Mount Rubidoux DrThis is the closest hiking spot to the house (it also has nature center). The trail is shared by hikers and bikers alike. It is not too strenuous and is dog friendly. There is a water fountain near the parking lot. Once leaving the parking lot, there are many connecting trails that you can choose from and easily get a 4-5mile hike in. There isn’t much shade so be sure to bring a hat and- water. Hiking poles might be helpful but not needed. Comfortable shoes is really all you need.

Food scene
TexMex - this is one of my favorite restaurants (not authentic Mexican food but really good). The Carne Asada, steak tacos and steak fajitas are probably the best in riverside. Unlimited freshly made flour tortillas with butter - just melts in your mouth. The salsa is good but definitely not spicy enough:( Get the fried jalapeños for an extra kick.

If you like Chicago style pizza, this is the place to go. Be prepared to wait 45 minutes if you choose to get Chicago style pizza. I personally like the thin crust. Although the food is good here, the service is not. Be prepared to wait even if you don’t order the Chicago style

This gastro pub is a bit on the pricier side but the food is definitely delicious. The menu changes periodically so it depends what is in season. They also offer brunch too.

Buffett style Korean BBQ. This is one of my favorite Korean barbecue place by far. You still have to ask for the specialty meats like short ribs. But all the normal stuff is out and you can grab as much as you want.

If you want to grill top-of-the-line meat, this is your spot. The marinated carne asada is excellent here. You can find meat quality from choice to Japanese A-5 wagyu. This is definitely on the more expensive side but with it on those rare occasions.
