This incredible drive thru coffee hut is owned and operated by a North Pole local. This hut offers a delicious assortment of drinks, breakfast and lunch food and my personal favorite; smoothie bowls! Glacier Grind has 3 locations here in town, the closest being 2 minutes away on 3rd and Old Steese.

Sightseeing
Pioneer Park, known to us locals as “Alaska Land” offers a plethora of Alaskan history of the gold rush and World War II era. Their cute shops and dining in relocated cabins from the famous 1967 flood are set up to depict a gold rush setting.
Don’t forget to visit Clare at the Old Time Photo cabin to look the part for some timeless gold rush photos.
The park offers an impressive Aviation Museum and a guided train ride around the park providing the unique history of not only the park, but old-time Fairbanks!
Top off your historical Alaskan evening with dinner and a show at the Alaska Salmon Bake on the West side of the park! Summer only for this adventure.

I have been back over a dozen times bringing family and friends to show off this impressive collection of antique and vintage autos. The museum is located off College Road right down the road from our rental.
Interested in nature? This gorgeous sanctuary is full of migratory birds in the spring/summer months to include Sandhill Cranes, Emperor Swans and Canadian Geese. The access is right off of College Road and the access road to the farmhouse and beautiful scenic walking trails that are even open to the public during the winter months to cross country ski or snowshoe.

Between February and April, enjoy the breathtaking ice park art from artists all over the world! Good for all ages, tote your littles in a rented sled! Or ask us and we probably have one to spare ;)

The Morris Thompson Center is just down the road along the Chena River. This facility is an incredible resource if you are interested in Alaska Native culture. A beautiful tribute to traditions passed on from generations of dozens of incredible Native tribes within this enormous state. Including beautiful artwork and interactive rooms, this center is a hub for education.

Moose Mountain uses school buses to transport to the top of the hill each run which is a nice touch to warm up before you hit the slopes! Rental equipment is available at the lodge if needed.
