Tours and day trips worth considering
City/town information
Tiny coastal town on the very south end of PV - about an hour drive from the condo. Here you can catch a water taxi to many neighboring coastal towns that are only accessible by boat such as Yelapa and Las Animas. Or you can hire one of the many penga boat captains there to take you out on a private excursion on their boat and do whatever your heart desires like fishing, snorkeling, whale watching, beach hopping, etc. Just remember, prices are always negotiable!

The small coastal town of Quimixto is only accessible by boat. Here you can take a 30 min hike or pay to ride a horse to get to a small waterfall where you can swim and jump off rocks into the cool mountain water. There is a very small restaurant where you can also have food or a beer while you enjoy the scenery.

The small coastal town of Quimixto is only accessible by boat. Here you can take a 30 min hike or pay to ride a horse to get to a small waterfall where you can swim and jump off rocks into the cool mountain water. There is a very small restaurant where you can also have food or a beer while you enjoy the scenery.
This is a National park so it is protected. You will need to go on a boat tour to get here. We recommend Chica Loca Tours that leaves out of the La Cruz marina. It is a huge catamaran with comfy cushions, pillows, hammocks, bean bags on the top deck and they even have a water slide, kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad and a tube that they let you have fun on at some point during the tour.

Marietas Islands, Hidden Beach, Tour, Snorkeling & Sightseeing
This is a National park so it is protected. You will need to go on a boat tour to get here. We recommend Chica Loca Tours that leaves out of the La Cruz marina. It is a huge catamaran with comfy cushions, pillows, hammocks, bean bags on the top deck and they even have a water slide, kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad and a tube that they let you have fun on at some point during the tour.
This is a private stretch of beach that you can only get to by boat. It's owned and operated by Vallarta Adventures so you buy tickets through Vallarta Adventures that will get you on their big boat and take you there for about 4 hours to enjoy all you can eat delicious food buffet, drinks and water activities on a beautiful, secluded beach. We've been there twice and have enjoyed it every time. There is also a an adults-only area as well as a small section specifically designed for smaller kids that would like to go on their own mini adventure with monkeys, zip-line, and horse back riding up a hill and through a small jungle.
