City Ski hill where locals go. Good place to x-country ski or downhill ski. Good hiking or snowshoe trail too.
A beautiful drive to the end of Old Mission Peninsula is quite nice. The water at the lighthouse is shallow for quite a ways. Bring a chair, some drinks and make some rock towers for the afternoon. Then go to Jolly Pumpkin for dinner!

Beach, sand, hike, bike or drive! A must do if you have never been. Breathtaking views from dunes to Lake Michigan. The dunes are about a 30 minute drive from the house. If you go, make sure to stop in Glen Arbor on your way home for a beer at Arts or some wine tasting at the M22 store. Glen Arbor is right on Lake Michigan as well.
