Fantastic cultural sites and history, architecture, eating and shopping, guided tours, boat trips, museums, theatres, night life, clubbing, the list is endless. And of course Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.
Direct train from Baldock - either to St Pancreas or to Blackfriars - the latter station is on the Thames right in the centre of everything so we recommend this for your first visit.
Driving is not recommended though. Lack of enough parking and pollution congestion charges, one-way systems and stress!

Lovely garden centre a fifteen minute walk from us with a delightful cafe that makes its own cakes and scones. A must for a cream tea. Also serve vegan cakes. Not much to look at from the outside, but don't judge a book and all that!

Just a lovely family run farm for visitors. In Letchworth. Can pet and feed animals, a lovely tea room and relaxing place. Usually has a lot of children there, so not the place if you prefer quiet.

The Western Hills and Woodland sit just up from our home. Easy walking to a beautiful scene of open sky and fields, with various crops. Good for walking and can get to Ashwell and Western easily. Woods are good for mosses and ferns.
