Absolutely top-notch summer time terrace dining. Be sure to book a reservation three days in advance, as they prioritize seating for hotel guests. Fairly exclusive, as they don't accept walk-ins even to take photos.

It's a small and pretty town in the mountains, and the drive there is nice. Stop by Teufelsbrücke on the way, for waterfalls and photo opportunities.

Take a ride up the steepest funicular in the world! Once at Stoos, you have access to a couple other options: take the lift up to Klingenstock for a two-hour mostly-flat hike to Fronalpstock, or take the lift directly to Fronalpstock for a nice lodge and dining.

A great experience during nice weather. The first leg of this trip is a cozy rail train up the hillside, and the second part is a double-decker open-top ski lift. Must ride it to believe it.

Driving is the best way to get around.

The home is located up the hill. Unless you want to break a sweat or go for a local hike, driving is more convenient. If you do want a local hike, you're in luck as the trails are beautiful and empty. Local trails can be suggested at check-in.

Come here to get away.

Gersau is a quiet town with little happening, but that's the appeal. Feel completely zen while relaxing on the patio with a drink, as the sounds of cow bells ring in the distance. Work on your laptop in silence if you're craving an artist's retreat.
