This place has amazing pizza. If you like thin layered pizza, I recommend them. They also have amazing beverage selections. If you want pasta, or end up getting their garlic knots, make sure to get the marinara sauce. It is wonderfully delicious. You can order by the slice on their website. Please google them. Support your local business by ordering by phone or through their website if you do not have cash. Good quality and great customer service.

This Modern American cuisine has a menu to drool for. Oxtails are off the bone juicy and not always available. This place has stand up comedy on the last Thursday of each month. They have a small upscale bar and accomodating staff that make sure you are being served properly.

Chinese Latin cuisine has hibachi style serving on the second floor. Great entertainment and food. Walk ins are welcomed, but for large groups I recommend calling and making reservations. You can also order take out here for delivery or pick up. Close at 12 am.

If you are an early bird or are looking to get a cheap lunch, this is the place. Happy hour is from 11 am to 7 pm and they have $5 lunches available from 11 am to 4 pm. This is a sports bar and while it is family oriented, the music can be loud. For this reason, you'd be pleased to know they have a backyard to eat from, and you do have to go down steps for that. You are able to sit at the bar and eat as well.
If you are interested in watching a game, or want to try some hookah, it is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

This is a sports bar and while it is family oriented, the music can be loud. For this reason, you'd be pleased to know they have a backyard to eat from, and you do have to go down steps for that. You are able to sit at the bar and eat as well.
If you are interested in watching a game, or want to try some hookah, it is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Across the street there is a small taco spot as well and on the next two corners you will find a rooftop place (La Republica) that is across from Chase bank but I have not visited so I do not have an intake on that rooftop place besides I've seen people gather in front of it/at the corner for celebrations with friends and family. All a five minute walk from the apartment. Casa Tuya closes at 2 am.

This chain pizza only has an option of six different slices. One of them being lobster. Another being the name itself; artichoke which they make creamy and tasty if you are open to it. They are thick and larger than your average pizza slice. Very filling and can be shared as an option. You can find them throughout the city or downtown Brooklyn. The spot on 14th street may have a line outside.

This island is approximately 1.5 miles long by 0.5 miles wide. You can drive here and be there is 20-35 minutes or take a cab. There are two public buses that take you there, if you are interested. Lots of seafood places and you will see this community is a hidden gem in the Bronx. They have a library, a school, nail salons, supermarkets, pharmacies, and antique stores. I would say it can take 20-30 minutes to walk this Avenue to the end. And there are places with affordable prices.

During the summer, on Friday evenings aws the sun goes down, boats prepare and station themselves at sea to set off fireworks. People go to the beach to enjoy this and relax. Enjoy funnel cake, hot dogs, or a cold drink by the boardwalk. They have public bathrooms and changing rooms also that are available. You can rinse off the sand by the boardwalk also at destined points they have shower heads available for your use. Since it is a public outdoor place, you may see more police activity and on the beach as well as there are no alcoholic beverages allowed. This also helps avoid broken glass in sand. They have lifeguards on duty until around sun set time. If you are not a crowd person, I would not recommend this.

NEW attraction where there is very often events or food stands around to enjoy the time there. Close to the water, (Hudson River) Javits Center, and the 7 train. The 7 train takes you into Queens (Citi Field) if you are interested in watching a Mets game during the season.
