Haven’t been here, but a recommendable restaurant with a nordic young touch in the design of the restaurant. Situated at Mosebacke torg, a lovely spot in Södermalm where the swedish writer August Strindberg was a hang-out at södra teatern nearby. Be sure to book ahead.

Skansen is a must if you are here to learn something of Sweden. Be sure to dress warm, enjoy zoo and old houses. Go for coffea or a hot dog, and eat at nearby Östermalm instead of at "Solliden".

Newly redecorated in smashing colors and with before closed off windows opened up - letting the daylight flood the place. Well, well worth the visit - swedish crafts and arts. Eat at nearby Rutabaga at Grand if you´re a foodie, or visit the very nice café at the museum itself.

And there is a simpler (cheaper) department - ask for the "kitchen". And here you will probably get very tasty traditional swedish dishes, when found on menu.

This is where you can get the real overview of Stockholm, now that Kaknästornet is closed. Globen in spectacular multicolored nearness, the dark archipelago to the east. Coctailbar, but you can dine here too!

Djurgården
Go for a swim in Tanto, Tantobadet. 10 minutes walk straight south on Södermalmsallén, turn right down by the water. Crowded yes. But hey, this is a perfect chance to meet locals! And the kids will love it.
Odd hours are moore for loners, why not an early morning swim?
There is also a sauna here. Maybe you get more lucky than I. Haven’t yet figured out how to get accepted into the club that use it. Heard rumours of public hours, they might be posted on Facebook. Best of luck!
( Another option is Hellasgården where there is a sauna by the lake)
