Winter - things to enjoy during your stay
1. Downhill skiing - Snow Ridge Turin, NY - trails for cross country skiing also available
2. Cross country skiing - Groomed trails on the Brantingham Golf Course. Other trails with maps can be found in the Guide Book in the cottage.
3. Maple Ridge Tubing Center - on East Road outside of Lowville, NY. This tubing center is the largest in NYS.
4. Ice Skating - The covered outdoor ice rink is located in the Lewis County Fair Grounds in Lowville. Details in Guidebook in the cottage.
5. Snowmobiling -Kovach Rental and Repair - Reservations necessary.

Spring Only - Maple Sugaring - usually the month of March
1. Yancey's Sugarbush (http://nysmaple.com/retail-dealer/yanceys-sugarbush/) Old-fashioned 170+ year old sugarbush using horses to collect the syrup. Call ahead as they don't boil every day. Bring cash to buy products (credit card not reliable). Navigation apps not reliable - recommend calling for better directions.
2. Camp K (http://nysmaple.com/bulk-syrup-dealer/camp-k-maple-syrup-llc/) Modern stainless steel operation. Call ahead since boiling is not done daily. Bring cash for products. Navigation app works.

GOLF
1. Brantingham Golf Club - Located close by and a good course for a warm up. Accepts cash only.
2. Carlowden Golf Club- former private Club, well maintained, some hills which are fun to play on.
Located in Denmark, NY.
3. Woodgate Pines - 2 different nines with the back nine carved out in the woods and along a stream. Located in Boonville, NY.
4. Thendara Golf Club - The front nine designed by Donald Ross in 1921. The back nine, completed in 1956, is carved into the woods for a picturesque Adirondack setting. Located in Thendara (near Old Forge).
