This restaurant I visit most often because it is so easy: it has a perfectly good buffet of sushi and other Asian food, there is always a table available and it is not that expensive.

This is not a restaurant, it is a bar, and it is not exactly in my neighborhood, but I want to mention it because it is so great. They have decorated the whole bar with Italian Milli Miglian stuff and it is really funny. Also the drinks are great!

This is a cafe everybody talk about but actually I have never visited… They say it is like going to Berlin! I have understood that they sell vegan doughnuts.

This pizzabar has three locations in Helsinki and one of them is on my ”backyard” in address Iso Roobertinkatu 26. I have heard quite many people say that Daddy Green has the best pizzas in Helsinki (including one food critic of Finland’s biggest newspaper!)

Restaurant Sea Horse in address Kapteeninkatu 11 is a very traditional Finnish restaurant that was opened in 1934. (I know that is not old in Paris or Rome but it is in Finland!) Their most popular dish is Crispy Fried Baltic Herring with mashed potatoes and I love it.

Patisserie Teemu Aura is a patisserie in Hakaniemi and it opened a new cafe/patisserie on 22nd of November 2022 really close to my place, in address Fredrikinkatu 19. It has been really popular in Hakaniemi and I believe I will visit this new place far too often! (Pictures are from Hakaniemi place.)

Mate Bar on Pieni Roobertinkatu is a cocktail bar that opened on November 2022 and it has been told to be an excellent place for cocktails and eating small dishes. I haven’t had a chance to visit there yet.

I haven’t visited this new(ish) Thai restaurant yet but my friends say the food is excellent. It looks a bit corky outside but I guess I shouldn’t mind that if the food is good! I have understood that this is not an expensive restaurant.
