Pier Park is walking distance or a very quick drive from “The Krusty Krab.” There are plenty of restaurants and lots of different shopping places to browse through. Some of the restaurants located within Pier Park are Margaritaville, Dick’s Last Resort, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, The Back Porch Seafood and Oyster House, Angry Tuna Seafood Company, Pompano Joe’s Seafood House and Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen…just to list a few. Every trip our family loves to visit Pier Park and we always get fudge from Kilwins, ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery, candy from I LOVE SUGAR and my daughter loves to jump on the acrobatic trampolines/ride the bumper boats located at the very end of Pier Park. My husband also enjoys early morning rides on his One Wheel from “The Krusty Krab” to and around Pier Park.

Sightseeing
We have done 2 different excursions with Island Time Sailing. Our first time sailing with them was for a sunset dolphin cruise. We were able to see lots of dolphins in their natural habitat, as well as enjoy a beautiful sunset out on the water. Our second time sailing with them was for a day trip to snorkel and attempt to get into the water around wild dolphins. We were instructed not to interact with the dolphins if we were able to find any. It took us a little bit of time, but we were very lucky and spotted a few dolphins. Our captain was able to position the boat ahead of them, so as we jumped into the water the dolphins swam under us. It was a brief glimpse, but still very neat! Our tour continued to a different area for snorkeling. Our guides collected starfish, sand dollars and a puffer fish for us to all look at and touch. We had a great time on both of our sailings and were not disappointed in the least!

Paradise Water Sports is the same company who handles the daily beach chair rentals in front of “The Krusty Krab.” They offer banana boat rides, parasailing and jet ski rentals. My husband and daughter rode the banana boat (twice) a few summers ago and had a blast! This summer we finally let our daughter go parasailing and it was an amazing experience! The parasailing was very pricey of course, but still a fun time. For both the banana boat ride and parasailing, they picked us up and dropped us off basically right in front of “The Krusty Krab.” If you are looking to check parasailing off your bucket list, we had a great experience with Paradise Water Sports!

Our family really enjoyed the sunset pirate cruise on the Sea Dragon! The entire cruise is filled with fun things for the kids to experience. The kids mopped the deck, had a sword fight, had a water gun fight and shot bean bags from a cannon. They had face painting and tattoos for the kids as well. The crew searched for and found a treasure chest in the water they brought onto the ship. The kids were then able to get treasure from the treasure chest which was super cool. There is a dungeon below deck where the crew take the kids for a story during the cruise as well. There was plenty of opportunities to see dolphins swimming in the bay throughout the cruise. There are bathrooms and concessions/bar on board which served a pretty good Rum Punch!

You can continue onto Shell Island from the park if you would like. Shell Island can only be accessed by boat and they offer a ferry to Shell Island for an additional fee.

The All American Diner offers a 50’s style ambience and is located directly across the street from “The Krusty Krab.” My husband and daughter have eaten the “all you can eat breakfast” and really enjoyed it. The diner also serves lunch and dinner plates: sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, pork chops, ribeyes, T-bones, country fried steak and fried fish plus soups and salads.

The diner also serves lunch and dinner plates: sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, pork chops, ribeyes, T-bones, country fried steak and fried fish plus soups and salads.
Our family loves to get donuts for breakfast at A’more Donuts. Sometimes we eat there and sometimes we take them to go. My daughter and I love the red velvet donuts. My husband's favorite is the peach filled donut and the Apple Fritter.

We absolutely loved Boon Docks! The restaurant itself is super cute and has a neat little gift shop. They have a nice waiting area out back with a dock where my kids enjoyed feeding the fish. Boon Docks is mainly a seafood restaurant, but they have plenty of sides to choose from if you want to be a vegetarian like me. My husband enjoyed the Oyster PoBoy and my Dad ordered one of their seafood platters. Everything we ordered was delicious!

My husband normally buys fresh shrimp, but they have a variety of fresh fish as well. Continential Condominiums does have 2 outdoor grills if you would like to grill your freshly bought seafood. We also love their sides of potatoes and corn on the cob!
We had a little bit of a wait the night we ate at Dat Cajun Place, but it was worth the wait! If you are wanting to watch a game, they had plenty of TVs airing various sports games. They didn’t have much for a vegetarian, but I enjoyed their fried pickles as an appetizer and pieced together some of their sides to make my meal. My husband enjoyed some well priced draft Bud Lite and their shrimp and grits. He also thought their collard greens were wonderful, but he loves spice! My son ordered french fries and my daughter had the kids chicken tenders. We didn’t experience any live music, but they had a stage which made it seem like they offer live music from time to time.

They do have live music and events from time to time, which always adds to the atmosphere.

They serve seafood and “World Famous Ribs.” They have indoor seating and a “pier like” outdoor seating area that extends out onto the sand toward the ocean. The Saltwater Grill is a very nice restaurant that serves seafood and steaks. My parents went to the Saltwater Grill for their 50th Wedding Anniversary while on a trip to the beach. They had a lovely meal and enjoyed the aquarium! My Mom had the salmon and my Dad had the prime rib. They both enjoyed their entrees and recommended my husband and I dine there on our next trip.

Thomas Donuts is a favorite breakfast spot in PCB. A line starts forming pretty early in the morning, as they do open at 6am during the peak season. My husband and daughter have been on two different 10hr deep sea fishing trips with Captain Anderson’s. On the 10hr trip, the ride out and back is 2.5 hours both ways, so the actual fishing is about 6 hours. They were able to catch red snapper, vliner snapper and trigger fish. On their first trip they caught 18lbs of fish and on their second trip they caught 19lbs of fish. The crew pays attention to the fishing success and if the fish aren’t biting they will reposition the boat quickly! On both trips, they were also able to see dolphins swimming and jumping along side the boat. There are bathrooms and concessions on board, as they don’t allow you to bring coolers on board. When you return from fishing, you can have your fish cleaned for .80 cents/pound and they will prepare them however you chose.

They have an arcade, one 18 hole mini golf course, a multi level wooden Go-Kart track, small amusement park rides and 2 EX-treme thrill rides called “The Wild Thang” and “Max Flight Simulator.” My daughter loves to race Go-Karts on their wooden track, it’s a little bumpy, but still very fun. Both “The Wild Thang” and “Max Flight Simulator” look fun, if you are into the sort of thrill ride that shoots you 160ft into the air!
Coconut Creek Family Fun Park is a 2 for 1 stop for our family. They have a Grand Maze, as well as mini golf and we love to do both! Gulf World is located directly across the street from “The Krusty Krab.” Our daughters “rainy beach day” finally occurred, so we took her to Gulf World as promised. We enjoyed attending both the Sea Lion and Dolphin shows. My daughter really enjoyed seeing all the different birds they had out on perches for everyone to see. They offer animal encounters for an extra charge and my daughter choose to meet Russel the Crow and snorkel with the Stingrays. They also offer encounters with Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Penguins, and both bottle-nosed and rough-tooth Dolphins. They do have height and/or age requirements on the animal encounters.
Our daughter attended the Dolphin Day Camp and had such a fun filled day! Her camp was from 9am-3pm. She attended all the shows and also got to hold a parrot, receive a kiss from a sea lion, touch a sting ray and pet a dolphin! She received lunch, a t-shirt, a water bottle, and pictures from her day! She will definitely be returning to their camps for many summers to come!!!
For 2024, we have purchased an annual pass for Gulf World. With the purchase of an annual pass, we will receive a discount on animal encounters, food, merchandise etc.

Race City is an amusement park where you are able to buy an armband and enjoy all the attractions. They have multiple race tracks for Go-Karts, a roller coaster, bumper boats, a haunted house, and many other amusement park/fair type rides. The armbands are not cheap, so I would recommend you cutting your beach day off a little early, so you can get a little more time at Race City instead of just the evening.

You could spend a half day going through their 4 levels of fun or spend all day there like us!
Zoo World was a wonderful experience for our family, as our daughter absolutely LOVES animals! We purchased the year long pass and 1 animal encounter per visit. Our first visit was in Jan 2023 and our daughter met a Lemur! Our second visit was in April 2023 and she held a baby Kangaroo! Our 3rd trip was in June 2023 and she held a baby Alligator! Our 4th trip was in October 2023 and she petted a Sloth! In December 2023 she held a baby Capybara! We have renewed our annual pass for 2024!
We purchased the combo “feeding package” which included food for the petting zoo, alligator biscuits, bird seed on a stick for the aviary and lettuce leafs for the giraffe named Tony. The petting zoo was one of the absolute best petting zoos we have experienced. There were deer, lamas, emus, a giraffe, a pony, a donkey and tons of goats! All the animals were super friendly, but if you choose to feed the Emus, we would recommend putting 1 piece of food in a cup and let them take the food out of the cup! They have a powerful peck!!! The aviary was also a lot of fun! The birds were very social and would sit just about anywhere to eat the seeds off of a popsicle stick.

Our first visit was in Jan 2023 and our daughter met a Lemur! Our second visit was in April 2023 and she held a baby Kangaroo! Our 3rd trip was in June 2023 and she held a baby Alligator!
