Buy fresh local eggs
You can buy local eggs all over except for on Sunday. One of the least intuitive places to buy fresh, local eggs is Zimmerman Dry Goods, 1179 Townline Rd, Penn Yan, NY (the store is part of a cluster of buildings just north of the Jensen intersection with Townline Rd and is mostly a fabrics / sewing shop). Another place that unexpectedly sells local eggs is Himrod Hardware. But really, local eggs are everywhere and available any season. Windy Acres at 4200 NY-14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527 has them, nearby Weaver View Farms at 386 NY-14, Penn Yan, NY has them, any nearby farmers market has them....

Back in the day, berries were a major part of the local economy. There are lots of places to pick your own berries. Serendipity Blueberry Farm is one of our favorites and we've never been disappointed with the quality. If you are here during raspberry season, pick ours!
