A little further away, and it's an anomaly as far as gas stations go, however they do the best cheesecake in at least 50 miles - worth stopping by if you are heading to or from Port Charlotte / Punta Gorda / Naples direction. They also sell cheap gas and have non ethonal gas for boaters

Great walks and nature, on the gulf side approx. 1.5 Miles of open beach to Stump Pass, on the way back up take the shady side walking up Ski Ally and watch the kids having fun wake boarding, tubing etc. in the Ally

Approx. 3 miles north and referred to as Middle Beach by the locals as it's halfway up the Island - basic amenities here (Parking Restrooms Shower Kayak Launch to Lemon Bay and a boat dock for arrivals by boat. One of the few area's on the west coast of Florida you can drive the car and have unrestricted view of the Gulf of Mexico - this is also where they host the annual July 4th Fireworks from.

One of the few area's on the west coast of Florida you can drive the car and have unrestricted view of the Gulf of Mexico - this is also where they host the annual July 4th Fireworks from.
This beach is situated at the top end of the Island (approx. 6 miles). Lifeguard typically on duty during daylight hours. Boat ramp across the street with ample docking if going by boat.
