This glacier is amazing! I have visited in the summer and couldn't believe the colors and shapes. I have heard that in the winter at sunset, about 4 pm, that it is even more spectacular. A little pricy but an unforgettable experience for sure.

Well maintained trails year round with costal views. Good for biking in summer, and winter with a fat tire bike, nordic skiing and just a nice walk. Be aware of wild life!

Great place to eat in Girdwood which is about 40 minutes away to the south. Absolutely stunning drive along the Turnagain Arm with it's forever changing scenery. Chance to see Beluga whales and Dahl sheep on the cliffs. Take in the sites and maybe the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and then settle in for a scrumptious meal.
