Keukenhof for the Tulips is open from March to May At the end of April & the second weekend in August are also flower parades.

Cash is King

Almost no supermarket will take a credit card. Only Dutch bank cards and cash. Restaurants, shops and most attractions will take credit cards but not supermarkets.

The Dutch pretty much speak perfect English. However, they value politeness so an Please and a Thank you go a very long way. Many also speak German, French, Italian or Spanish. Although this is less common.
