A nice little pub inside the Woodstock Inn, MUST get a reservation to dine. Local, casual food, kind of a rustic interior, a porch for dining if you're lucky, fireplace, bar. Good food too!

Call ahead for a reservation. Max's Tavern is a bit of a drive over to Barnard, but their food is superb. A favorite is their schnitzel! Casual, rustic, a nice journey on route 12A, pretty scenery along the way, and great food awaits you on the other side. The Barnard Inn is a bit more formal, white table cloths, inside the old historic building. Food is equally as good, just a little more upscale setting than in the Tavern.
