It is a living museum with a town, village, farm and mining colliery where people are dressed in period costume and interact with the public to tell you about historic information. It covers many acres of land and the best way to get around is by tram, bus or horse and cart. Even if you have been many times, there is always something you haven't seen. This is a great day out (or several days out) for all the family.
