One of the largest open spaces in London, the Heath offers bucolic hideaways, hidden walks, and jogging trails. It takes about 40 minutes to walk across the Heath from our house to Hampstead Village on the other side, or north to Highgate Village.

This provides a wonderful view of London, a site for kite-flying (where Mary Poppins took the children), and tobogganing in the winter if it snows.
