My family loved our trip to Dollywood. They tricked me into riding a roller coaster with a loop in it (not a fan of looping coasters) and I white knuckled it through the whole experience. My husband even bought the picture from our ride with them smiling and me looking like I was facing death in the eyes! Can anyone relate? Fortunately, there were plenty of other rides to enjoy and of course, great fair food.

There are several wineries and moonshine distillery stores in this area. Some even offer free samples! We seem to go to the Ole Smoky Moonshine store in downtown Gatlinburg every time we stay at the condo. For a small price, they offer samples of several of their flavored or special batch moonshine whiskeys. Have you ever had their cherries, peaches, okra or pickles? Kentucky's bourbon trail has nothing on Tennessee moonshine. Come on and try something new. Just remember to drink responsibly and have a designated driver.

Trolley
We've used the trolley in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to get around during some of our visits over the years. On the first day we got to the area, we took the trolleys to scope out all the stores and sights we wanted to consider going to. Saved our feet from blisters and our energy so we could enjoy ourselves during our stay. Parking in Gatlinburg during high season can be expensive and a challenge.
See the sights in and around Gatlinburg aboard a trolley which you can catch at more than 100 locations. Sevierville and Pigeon Forge also have trolleys for an easy way to get around town. Many of the local attractions in this area on directly on the Parkway.
