There is plenty of parking space and if you don't want to walk from the car-park to the Mont there are buses that will transport you there. My tip would be to get there early as it can get really busy.

To walk off your lunch you could spend some time taking in the scenery from La Pointe de Grouin which forms the westerly tip of the Baie of Mont Saint-Michel and on a clear day it is possible to see the majestic Mont Saint-Michel rising out of the sea. It is also part of the GR34 coastal footpath.

Visiting the workshop is a real immersion in the SAINT JAMES universe. It all starts here in the city of the same name: Saint-James.
Les Tricots SAINT JAMES invite you to discover their traditional know-how in the manufacture of genuine sailor sweater and sailor sweater by opening the doors of their workshops to you, a stone's throw from Mont Saint-Michel.
Since 1889, SAINT JAMES has perpetuated the French artisanal tradition in textile clothing. Labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, come and discover a history and the craftsmen of a know-how of excellence!
You will be told the story of the making of this famous "real sailor sweater" with a knit so tight that it is said to be waterproof: all the stages from design to manufacture.
When to visit the workshops?
Visits run from Monday to Thursday, at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. During school holidays (all zones combined), visits take place Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 2 pm. In case of strong demand, we have the possibility of offering you additional time slots.
Organization of the visit
The workshop visit is by RESERVATION only. You can complete the form (by clicking at the bottom of the Book site page, or by e-mail: visite@saint-james.fr or by phone on 02 33 89 15 55.

The Bay of Mont Saint-Michel Ecomuseum is a property of the Conservatoire du Littoral and is managed and run by the Conseil Départemental de la Manche.
Site access rates: adults: 5 € - children (7 to 18 years old): 2.50 € - Reduced: 3.50 € - Family pass: 15 €.
