There are many trails to hike here. My favorites are walking around Lake Minnewaska (upper parking lot), and Awosting Falls (lower parking lot). Note that there's a per car fee, but if you have an Empire State Park pass it's no charge. Arrive early in peak seasons, as parking is somewhat limited.

Simply beautiful with winding trails and ample wildlife in the middle of New Paltz and along the Wallkill River. Very quiet and secluded. Mostly locals here, and you won't run into many of them!

It's only a few blocks long, but it's very quaint and close to us. Worth a drive up. You can eat at the Rosendale Cafe and walk the Tressle Bridge, which truthfully, I prefer over the Walkway over the Hudson.

Another gem in the Hudson Valley. Great day Trip and a pretty drive up Route 9. It's about 45-minutes. Eat and shop and spend a nice day.

Make a reservation. Lovely lovely gardens and an easy walk. Pack a picnic. About 45 minutes.
